About Me

Creativity, animals, and traveling; those are three words that mainly sum up who I am and what I love. At the age of 22 I bought my first professional DSLR camera and chased after my dream of being a portrait photographer. Here I am, eight years later doing that and more. My name is Madi Hershman and I am a destination portrait photographer. I am based in Gig Harbor, Washington, but spend a lot of my time traveling and capturing moments that will last a lifetime. Aside from being a full time portrait photographer, I also spend my time running a dog walking/pet care business, and volunteering with local animal shelters where and when I can. I fell in love with photography because I think pictures are one of the greatest ways to capture both memories and emotions, and I love to tell stories through my work. I know that the sky is the limit, and that each and every client of mine has made me love this lifestyle more than I thought possible.

I read inspirational quotes and books, daily. I do photography because I LOVE it. I have a dog named Penny who absolutely runs my world. I'm terrified of spiders. Dogs are the greatest gift on earth in my eyes. I love the sunshine. I'm very stubborn. My whole heart goes into every photography session. I love to assist people beginning their photography career. I believe that chasing dreams is the scariest yet most rewarding path life has to offer.
